PHENOMENA was created after reading ‘The Spell of the Sensuous’ by David Abraham. The book describes how for thousands of generations, human beings viewed themselves as part of the wider community of nature and they carried on active relationships, not only with other people but with other animals, plants and natural objects (including mountains, rivers, winds and weather patterns), that we only lately come to think of as ‘inanimate’. This work was created in honor of the Phenomenology Philosophy and in hope to revive in the viewer’s eye the connection that we have with the world of nature.
